Music Ministry

OVERVIEW

The purpose of the music ministry is to lead all worshippers to experience the awesome presence of God.  Each song rendered bespeaks the majesty, holiness, power, and uniqueness of God.  The music ministry actively ministers to the spirit of each worshipper focusing on the Person of our Savior Jesus Christ.  The categories of the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church Music Ministry are as follows:

  • Adult Choir
  • Women’s Minitry Choir
  • Male Chorus
  • Youth Choir

All choirs provides worshipful music for assigned church worship services and special services
Membership

  • Adult Choir – The membership of the Adult Choir shall consist of individuals, minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Male Chorus – The membership of the Male Chorus shall consist of male adults, minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Women’s Minitry Choir –
  • Youth Choir– The membership of the Youth Choir shall consist of individuals, ages 5 to 13 years of age.
  • Combined Choir – The membership of the Combined Choir shall consist of individuals from all choirs.

The Youth Ministry is designed to call youth into lifelong discipleship; to identify the call and commitment to the family, church, and the community; and to apply the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through God’s word to their lives. This ministry will provide the proper background for strong, confident, and educated Christian youth.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Combined Choir
Saturday, before the 1st Sunday – 1p.m. – 3p.m.

Male Chorus
Saturday, before the 2nd Sunday – 1p.m. – 3p.m.

Women’s Ministry Choir
Saturday, prior to the 4th  Sunday – 1p.m. – 3p.m.

Youth Choir
Saturday prior to the 3rd Sunday – 1p.m. – 2p.m.
